Title Transfer Requirements
Our title department is here to make your job easier. We strive to get your title work done efficiently and correctly. We asked that you have the following documents when bringing in your title work.
These forms are required.
- Completed Title Application
- Retail Purchase Agreement/Dealer’s Sales Invoice
- Title or MSO/MCO
- Proof of Insurance
- Copy of Driver’s License of Purchaser (see Proof of Residence)
- Emission document (if Bernalillo County)
- Power of Attorney (recommended)
- Dealer Bill of Sale (if the title has not been signed by selling customer)
- Affidavit of Reposession (if vehicle has been repossesed)
- Proof of Residence (if drivers license address different from paperwork)(2 required)
- Vin Inspection (if out of state title)
- Proof of Trade in (if applicable)
- Release of Lien (if applicable)
- Lien Holder Information including file and maturity date
